Cleaning methods for treadmill running belts
Preparations: Unplug the power cord of the treadmill before cleaning to ensure safety.
Daily cleaning
If there is only a small amount of dust and footprints on the surface of the running belt, it can be wiped with a dry cloth.
If there are stains such as sweat, you can wipe the entire running belt with a damp cloth that has been wrung out. However, be careful to avoid water droplets splashing under the running belt and on the electronic components in the computer room.
You can also use a dry microfiber cleaning cloth to wipe the treadmill belt and use a vacuum cleaner to collect loose debris.
Deep cleaning
For the hard-to-clean gravel and foreign objects in the running belt texture, you can first use a clean brush to sweep the gravel in the running belt texture down from front to back onto the running platform, and then repeatedly wipe it with a cloth soaked in soapy water.
If there are stubborn stains on the running belt, you can use a special treadmill cleaning spray and clean it according to the product instructions.
After cleaning, dry the running belt with a dry cloth to ensure it is completely dry.
Regular inspection and maintenance: Regularly check if there are any foreign objects between the running belt and the running plate. If any foreign objects are found, they should be removed immediately to prevent wear and tear between the running belt and the running plate. Meanwhile, according to the usage frequency, lubricating oil should be added to the running belt regularly to reduce wear.
Cleaning methods for treadmill motors
Preparations: Turn off the treadmill and unplug the power cord.
Cleaning steps:
To open the motor compartment, it is generally necessary to remove the screws that fix the motor cover and take off the motor cover.
Use a vacuum cleaner to clean the dust in the motor compartment. Be careful not to break or drop the wires connected to the mainboard.
You can also use a soft-bristled brush to gently clean the dust off the motor surface, but be sure to avoid the bristles being too hard and damaging the motor surface.
After cleaning is completed, install the motor cover.
Regular cleaning frequency: For home treadmills, it is generally recommended to clean the motor by opening the motor protection cover at least twice a year, while for commercial treadmills, it is suggested to clean them four times a year.
